Pedestrian seriously injured when hit by car in Levin

A pedestrian has serious injuries after being hit by a car in Levin this afternoon.

Police and ambulance were called to the intersection of York and Salisbury Street around 4.15pm.

Police say the Serious Crash Unit is responding and there are local diversions in place around the scene.
