ACT Policing have issued the territory's first Amber Alert after a six-year-old boy was taken from his Canberra school playground last week.
An Amber Alert is an urgent notification for broadcast to media about a missing child.
Phoenix Mapham was dragged from the school's playground by his mother, Tessa Woodcock, last Thursday, Nine News reports.
Ms Woodcock does not have legal custody of the child.
Rachel Climer, the current partner of Phoenix's father, said Ms Woodcock was seen by other children dragging the boy away by the hand.
"He was trying to keep up and she was dragging him along," Ms Climer said.
Phoenix was last seen being driven by a woman at Weston Creek on Thursday at 1.30pm.
