A man has been caught on CCTV munching on a box of snacks before stealing hundreds of dollars' worth of premium beef from an Australian butcher.
The incident took place at Perth's Rump Shakers Southern River butcher earlier this week and has since sparked a police investigation.
Footage shows the man browsing the store before opening a box of Shapes and eating it in front of the cameras.
Store owner John Bain said the man then jumped the counter and grabbed two briskets, each weighing around 15kg, before leaving.

"It just annoys me, he obviously didn't care about being caught I reckon," Bain said.
Bain posted about the incident on Facebook and asked the public for help to identify the man, with several customers quickly claiming to recognise the suspect.
He said in the meantime, the theft was another blow for the small business amid a cost of living crisis.
"The uncontrollable costs are just going through the roof at the moment - not just me, not just butchers, small business in general, and families as well, we're all feeling it," Bain said
"Mate, go out and earn a dollar. Don't steal from us."
Charges have yet to be laid over the incident.
