One person is in a serious condition in the burns unit at Christchurch Hospital following a house fire in Gore that police are treating as suspicious.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Gorton Street, a little after 9pm last night.
The 30 fire fighters were still fighting the blaze in the early hours of this morning.
Fire and police investigators are examining the address today to determine the cause of the blaze.
