Investigations continue into fatal Christchurch house fire

A scene guard remains in place at the location of a fatal house fire which happened in the Christchurch suburb of Halswell yesterday afternoon.

Police say investigations are on going to establish what’s happened.

A "deceased person" was discovered after the incident at Caulfield Ave in Halswell around 12.30pm yesterday.

They say there will be no further updates.
