A man has entered an Auckland home, encountered a person in the house before engaging in a tussle..
Police are appealing to the public for any information on last Tuesday's incident.
Detective Senior Sergeant Marcia Murray said in a statement the same man was seen on the Hauraki property, near Takapuna at 12.30pm that day, and was said to have entered the home later at 5.15pm.
He left the property after what police describe as a "brief tussle".
"The male is described as dark skinned, with short, dark hair and is believed to have been wearing black jeans and a black ribbed long-sleeve shirt."
"He is also described as aged between 30-45 years and between 180–190cm tall," Detective Senior Sergeant Murray said.
