Three people have been injured in a crash between three buses outside Botany Town Centre in east Auckland this morning.
Police were called to the crash on Chapel Rd outside Botany Downs Secondary College at about 10.50am on Tuesday.
“At this stage it appears there are three people who have received moderate to minor injuries," a police spokesperson said.
St John said it sent two ambulances and one rapid response vehicle to the scene.
"Four patients were assessed at the scene, with two currently being transported to Middlemore Hospital in a moderate condition," a St John spokesperson said.
Chapel Rd northbound has been closed while emergency services deal with the crash. Diversions were in place, and police are advising motorists to avoid the area or expect delays.
Auckland Transport said route 31, 35 and 739 services could be delayed or cancelled. Inbound buses on those routes were detouring through Te Irirangi Dr and the Botany Mall entrance.
