Labour leader Chris Hipkins is expected to speak to media in Wellington shortly, before joining a walkabout at community events in the city.
He’s likely to be asked about National’s 100-day plan, released by National leader Christopher Luxon at an Auckland rally this morning.
In his speech, Luxon warned the election would “come down to the wire”.
“Same people. Same ideas. Same instincts. Same mess,” Luxon said of Labour.
Hipkins accused National yesterday of being “desperate” to talk about anything other than the cost of living, which he said was the issue voters raised with him most often.
Today is the last day to enrol to vote, with enrolment closing at midnight. Advance voting opens tomorrow, and the election is in 13 days.
