Consumers have been advised against eating a popular protein yoghurt after the product was recalled due to potential glass fragments.
While New Zealand Food Safety reported there were no reports of injury caused by Arla Protein Puddings, buyers should not consume the impacted puddings.
“If you have any Arla Protein Pudding Vanilla Cookie (200g) with a best-before date of 26 April 2027, don’t eat it. You can return it to the place of purchase for a refund. If that’s not possible, throw it out,” said New Zealand Food Safety deputy director-general Vincent Arbuckle.
The flavour was sold across Woolworths, Fresh Choice and Foodstuffs nationwide and has since been removed from shelves.
Arbuckle said New Zealand was not the only country affected by the potential contamination.
“The product has been imported from Denmark, and there are other recalls underway overseas,” he said.
Those who ate the product and are concerned for their health are encouraged to seek medical advice.
