Labour leader Chris Hipkins is due to launch is party's campaign this afternoon at Due Drops Event Centre in South Auckland.

It followed National's launch this morning at Auckland's Convention Centre, where Christopher Luxon gave a speech to set the tone for the party's next six weeks.

Hipkins' speech was due to start at around 3.20pm.
