Grammy award-winning '90s music star Seal will visit New Zealand for the first time to headline Greenstone Entertainment's Summer Concert Tour next year.
Announced today, the lineup also featured British indie-pop band Bastille, singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor and jazz-funk band Level 42.
The 2027 Summer Concert Tour will take over Wānaka’s Three Parks Outdoor Arena on Saturday, January 30, followed by the Taupō Amphitheatre on Sunday, January 31.
Greenstone Entertainment said more than half a million fans had enjoyed a Summer Concert Tour over the last 17 years.
Chief executive Amanda Calvert said the organisation was "thrilled" with the 2027 artist lineup.
“Every year we embark on an extensive search to secure the best international acts for the Summer Concert tour," Calvert said.
"With our 2027 line-up we think we’ve achieved the perfect balance of artist’s and musical genres – it’s going to be an exceptional tour."
Seal rose to prominence in the early 1990s, becoming a major name in pop, R&B, soul and dance music with hits including Kiss from a Rose, Crazy and Killer.
The British singer-songwriter has won four Grammy Awards and sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.
British band Bastille broke through with their 2013 hit Pompeii, which became one of their most recognisable songs worldwide. The group has since released several albums and amassed billions of streams across its catalogue.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor has been a fixture of British pop for more than 25 years, with hits including Murder on the Dancefloor, Take Me Home and Get Over You. Her music found a new generation of listeners after Murder on the Dancefloor featured in the 2023 film Saltburn.
Level 42 rose to prominence in the 1980s, becoming known for their blend of jazz-funk and pop. Across a career spanning more than four decades, the English band has produced a string of UK and international hits including Lessons in Love and Something About You.
A One NZ ticket presale for Summer Concert Tour 2027 will begin at 10am on September 28, running for 24 hours.
The Greenstone Members official presale will then begin on September 29 at 11am, running for 48 hours until until October 1. A special LOCALs only sale will also commence on September 29 until the allocation of tickets is exhausted.
General onsale tickets will then be available from 12pm on October 1.
This year's edition of the Summer Concert Tour was headlined by rock legends Iggy Pop and Joan Jett, who played three shows as a part of the event.
