One person has been seriously injured following an incident near West Auckland's Lynn Mall.
St John said it was notified of an incident on Great North Rd in New Lynn just after 11am today.
It sent one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle.
"One patient has been assessed by the ambulance crew and was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition," a St John spokesperson said.
A worker at a nearby restaurant told the Herald she had heard a woman screaming and that a man was bleeding.

By 1pm, the scene was clear aside from an unmarked police car.
