Police Commissioner Richard Chambers has been cleared of criminal wrongdoing following a police investigation into complaints relating to alleged conduct with women.
On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Mike Pannett said in a statement to 1News that NZ Police had completed its criminal investigation.
"The IPCA will publicly release its findings in due course. As the matter remains before the IPCA, police has no further comment at this time."
In June, when the investigations became public, Chambers said he "strongly rejected" the claims being made.
'"I will cooperate fully with the investigation and look forward to having this matter dealt with," he said.
"I acknowledge the public interest in this, but it is important the investigation takes its course. I cannot make further comment at this point."
Police Minister Mark Mitchell told 1News at the time he referred two complaints in November last year and February this year to the Independent Police Conduct Authority and the Police National Integrity Unit on the same days he received them.
