Footage has emerged of a vehicle speeding down the wrong side of a Canterbury motorway.
Police said officers were alerted to the vehicle on Christchurch's southern motorway at around 8.50am on Sunday.
A video of the car, shared to the Christchurch Dash Cams Facebook group, was recorded by a motorist said to be driving from Rolleston towards Christchurch.
"After passing Prebbleton, I came across this vehicle driving on the right-hand side and causing quite a few problems for other drivers," they said.
The witness believed the vehicle was travelling at around 110km/h.
Officers were unable to find the vehicle, and those who saw it were unable to give a registration number.
"The vehicle had been seen correcting to the right side of the road," police said.
