Elinor Plum-King proved there is life without Jorja Miller with a hat-trick on her Black Ferns debut.
The flanker helped drive a comfortable 62-19 win over a Black Ferns XV as New Zealand prepare for seven test matches to close the season.
With Miller committing to sevens, Plum-King more than filled the hole with an outstanding performance in her first appearance in black.
The Black Ferns struck after just four minutes, Mererangi Paul opening the scoring in the right corner.
But the reply from the Black Ferns XV came just five minutes later, fullback Presayus Singh showing super speed and footwork to dance through the defence and score under the bar.
Arene Landon-Lane slotted the extras to put the Ferns XV in front.
The advantage wouldn't last long though, winger Ayesha Leti-I'iga exploding through the line off a deft inside ball by Ruahei Demant.
The tit-for-tat continued after a sustained period of attack, Leata Puni-Lio rumbled over to reclaim a two-point buffer.
Plum-King put the Black Ferns back in front with her first try in the jersey, bagging a double early in the second on the back of a quick tap.
A dummy at the base of the ruck saw Maia Joseph bag another for the Ferns before Plum -King completed her trio, with Paul giving the final pass to send her away.
A Tara Turner charge down saw the Ferns go in again, before Vicki Rose-Green brought up the half century.
The Ferns XV would get a late consolation through Sam Taylor, but Shyrah Tuliau-Tua'a drove the final nail in and capped an easy win for the Black Ferns.
