Two people have been charged after an alleged aggravated robbery in Howick this afternoon.
Police were called to the incident on Union Rd at about 2.45pm, after a report a person held a firearm during a Facebook Marketplace transaction.
"The offender fled the scene on foot but was shortly picked up by a vehicle," police said.
"Thankfully, the victim was uninjured."
With the assistance of the Eagle helicopter, police located the vehicle in Glen Innes.
Two 19-year-old males were then arrested.
On Thursday, police said the two men appeared in Manukau District Court charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm, unlawfully possessing ammunition and aggravated robbery with a firearm.
