Prime Minister Christopher Luxon spoke to media from Marsden Pt this morning, where he made an announcement on fuel security.

A new diesel storage facility at the site will store an additional 93 million litres of diesel.

He is also faced questions after China fired a long-range missile with a dummy nuclear warhead into the Pacific from a submarine yesterday. The move from Beijing came shortly after Australia and Fiji signed a comprehensive and elevated security pact on mutual defence.

Luxon spoke from about 11.30am.
