Property engulfed in flames in Tauranga's Bethlehem

Emergency services are at the scene of a fire at a residential property in Tauranga's Bethlehem this afternoon.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand said crews arrived to find the structure, about 20m by 10m, fully involved in fire, after being advised of the incident at 3.20pm.

Three trucks from Tauranga City and Greerton were in attendance.

FENZ said police were assisting with road closures and St John had been notified.

"At this stage, FENZ is not treating it as one where someone is believed to be inside, but they cannot yet confirm that all occupants have been accounted for," it added.

A video sent to 1News showed a structure completely engulfed in flames.

Another photo sent to 1News showed smoke coming from the area from another angle.
