Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will speak to media shortly following his weekly Cabinet meeting.
He is expected to speak from the Beehive theatrette at around 4pm.
The Prime Minister's appearance follows National unveiling plans to make KiwiSaver compulsory for all workers if re-elected, prompting pushback from coalition partners.
ACT leader David Seymour raised concerns about the policy’s impact on wages and personal finances, describing it as a “big gift” to the financial services sector and questioning whether it would leave households better off.
Tensions also surfaced at National’s campaign conference, where campaign chairman Simeon Brown likened coalition dynamics to parents managing misbehaving children and urged voters to back National over its partners.
