Culley's branded sauces have joined a list of products being recalled over a packaging fault which may cause injury.

New Zealand Food Safety said it was recalling specific batches of Culley's Kitchen brand sauces as the products may have damaged glass.

The affected products include Classic Egg Mayonnaise with a Best Before date of 03/03/2027, and Zesty Aioli with a Best Before date of 16/11/2026.

The sauces, packaged in glass jars, were sold at supermarkets across the country.

The recall does not affect any other Culley's brand products.

Customers who bought the affected Culley's products have been asked to handle the products carefully and check the 'Best Before' dates, the Ministry for Primary Industries said on its website.

"If you have purchased these products, handle carefully and do not consume."

A recall was issued on Friday for a range of Pams branded cooking sauces and Market Kitchen brand Sweet 'N Sour Cooking Sauce as the products may have damaged glass.

On Monday, the recall was widened to include deli meals made in-store at New World Greymouth, New World Rolleston and Pak'nSave Riccarton.

The deli meals recall for Pak'nSave Riccarton was extended on Wednesday evening to include:

  • RW Sweet & Sour Chicken, packed on 09.06.26 to 14.06.26, with a Use By date of 14.06.26 to 19.06.26
  • Butter Chicken Deli Made, packed on 09.06.26 to 15.06.26, with a Use By date of 14.06.26 to 20.06.26
  • Deli Made Butter Chicken Panini, packed on 09.06.26 to 18.06.26, with a Use By date of 14.06.26 to 21.06.26

MPI said there have been no reports of associated injury but "affected products should not be consumed".

Anyone who consumed the affected products and had concerns for their health was urged to seek medical advice.

Customers were advised to return impacted products to their retailer for a full refund.
