Police search for 'dangerous' man over release conditions breach

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of convicted killer Bodi McKee.

McKee 32, is wanted by police for breaching release conditions and was known to frequent the East Auckland and Counties Manukau areas.

Police said it was believed he was "actively avoiding" officers.

"McKee is considered dangerous and should not be approached. Any sightings should be reported to Police on 111."

McKee was acquitted of murder in the High Court at Auckland in 2017, but was convicted of manslaughter after fatally shooting a man in a Manurewa driveway in 2016.

He was later returned to prison in 2024 after being found in possession of an illegal firearm.
