British broadcaster Channel 4 has removed all previous seasons of Married at First Sight UK after a BBC report detailing allegations of rape during the filming of the series.
BBC's Panorama programme reported two women had told them they were raped during the filming of the reality show, while a third alleged a non-consensual sex act.
They all said the show did not do enough to protect them, the report stated.
Lawyers for CPL, an independent production company which makes the UK version of the show, told the BBC its welfare system is "gold standard" and industry-leading, and that it acted appropriately in all these cases.
Channel 4 chief executive Priya Dogra said it would be "wholly inappropriate" for her to comment on the allegations.
"Those allegations ... are not something that Channel 4 is in a position to adjudicate. We take these issues very seriously and are committed to ensuring that we continue to lead the industry in our duty of care for contributors," she said.
She said when informed, the channel "acted quickly, appropriately, sensitively and with wellbeing front and centre".
She also expressed sympathy to "contributors who have clearly been distressed after taking part in Married at First Sight UK. The wellbeing of our contributors is always of paramount importance".

All previous seasons of the show had been removed "out of an abundance of caution to avoid fuelling speculation or jigsaw identification" while the review was ongoing, Channel 4 said.
According to the BBC report, one woman said her onscreen “husband” raped her and threatened her with an acid attack.
She alleged that sex with her onscreen husband soon turned violent and she “kept saying stop”.
“He said that if I told anybody what had happened, that he would get someone to throw acid at me,” she said.
The show, where single people agree to marry total strangers after meeting for the first time at mock weddings, was a global phenomenon, with franchises in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
