Police said the bags were "individually" packed.

A man has been arrested after 125 individually packaged bags of synthetic drugs were found by officers during a Hamilton raid.

Police said the drugs appeared to be ready for sale, with a total estimated street value of around $2500.

Officers also found cannabis, drug utensils, illegally held ammunition, and cash believed to be the proceeds of offending.

A 58-year-old man was charged with supplying a psychoactive substance and possession of cannabis.

"This type of product can have serious adverse effects when consumed, as well as addiction and associated offending," police said.

"Police are committed to disrupting the supply of such harmful substances from our communities."
