A prolific shoplifter who stole an entire display of Cadbury Mini Eggs during a supermarket crime spree across the United Kingdom has been jailed for four months.
South Wales Police said 39-year-old Ashley Daley had targeted multiple stores across Wales and southwest England over a three-week period.
The Cardiff man is accused of stealing £4000 ($9100) worth of goods from stores in Cardiff, Taff’s Well, Merthyr Tydfil, Chepstow and Caldicot.
Police say he made no effort to hide his identity, "boldly walking into stores and filling up bags with meat, easter eggs and alcohol".
"In one case, he attended a store, stealing an entire display of Mini Eggs, making no effort to mask his wrongdoing, with all of these incidents being captured on CCTV."

Detective Constable Warriner said Daley was a prolific offender who showed clear disregard for the law and believed himself above it.
"Shoplifting is not a victimless crime, and offenders like Daley have a big financial impact on businesses, and emotional impact on those who work there," he said.
"Daley would have continued targeting businesses across the UK and I am glad to see that he has now been prevented from doing so."
Daley appeared in court in February and was jailed after admitting 12 counts of theft, one attempted theft, and possession of a bladed article.
He was also charged with a further 13 theft-related offences in the West Midlands.
