A body has been found in the search for a 52-year-old man missing since mid-April in the Motueka Valley area.
Police said the man found by Search and Rescue personnel today was likely missing Motueka man Nathan Green.
Tasman police had been searching for Green since he left his home address on foot on April 13, and was last seen on a trail camera the next day.
"While the formal identification process is yet to be completed, police believe the deceased is Nathan," a police spokesperson said.
Green's family and police thanked all those who assisted in the search, and those who contacted officers with information in response to public appeals.
"Nathan’s death will be referred to the Coroner."
