The RNZ Saturday morning co-host would like everyone to step back from the keyboards and get a little more real in 2025.
I would like a machine that magicked up more time. There always seem to be more things I'd like to do or be part of. I'm an experience junkie so I suspect there will always be more than I can fit in but spending more time with my whānau this summer will be epic.
I would like to see more theatre shows. Live performance is the best connection. And my friends, I always want to see more of them, especially as I've been so lucky to have some of my closest overseas friends visit over the last two summers, that was such a treat.
I hope we can all step back from our keyboards. And learn to pause before hitting send. Social media drives us to instantly respond when sometimes stopping and thinking is the best course to take. A little more grace and less speed would gently push back against the polarisation we're getting caught up in.

I'd love to be more creative with my hands. Maybe this is the year I set up the sewing machine and start making clothes instead of just saying I want to. Or learning ceramics and sitting with the clay at a potter's wheel.
I want to go back to Egypt. And take my whānau there. The ancient civilisation, temples and tombs are mind-blowing and I'd love to see my tamariki discover it.
