Toy company Mattel has apologised after packaging for dolls inspired by the new Wicked movie mistakenly printed the website address for an adult content website.
Mattel launched the line of limited-edition dolls depicting characters from the film starring Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
However, eagle-eyed fans quickly shared images to social media following the launch, pointing out an unfortunate misprint on the back of the packaging.
A printed link directs people to a website for adult content, instead of the correct link to WickedMovie.com.
Some fans questioned whether the dolls intended for young people would need to be recalled due to the "not safe for work" packaging error.
In a statement to the BBC, Mattel apologised for the "unfortunate error" and advised parents that the misprinted website "is not appropriate for children".
The dolls had primarily been sold in the US, the BBC reported.
It added: "We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this."
"Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel customer service for further information."
