Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer released early by Rockstar after leak

The first trailer for the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has been released by Rockstar Games today.

The latest instalment, set to be released in 2025, takes the series back to Vice City - based off the Miami and Florida Keys area - for the first time in nearly 20 years.

The trailer features the character Lucia, who will be the first female protagonist in the series. Set to Tom Petty's Love is a Long Road, the 90-second trailer jumps from scenic shots overlooking Miami Beach, parties in downtown clubs, an alligator walking into a convenience store as well as the usual fast cars, guns, crime and oddballs that have long been a part of the series.

GTA 6 will be the first game in the series since GTA 5 was released in 2013.

Rockstar Games released the trailer early after it was leaked on social media.
