SH2 blocked as South Wairarapa crash scatters power lines on road

State Highway 2 at Tauherenikau is blocked after a vehicle rolled crashing into a powerline this afternoon.

According to a police statement, the South Wairarapa crash was reported at about 2.15pm.

It’s understood the occupant is injured and there are power lines down across the road.

Police ask that motorists take alternative routes.
