Man seriously injured after reported Auckland shooting

A man has been left seriously injured after a reported shooting in the South Auckland suburb of Favona last night.

Police said a report was received about 9pm that a man had sustained a serious gunshot injury at a property on Wakefield Rd.

The man was taken to Middlemore Hospital and is currently recovering in a stable condition.

Police said investigators have been conducting a scene examination overnight, which will continue this morning.

Inquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 105 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
