Elderly man dies days after being hit by car in Hamilton

An elderly pedestrian has died days after he was struck by a car in Hamilton this week.

The 82-year-old man was hit by the car on Ulster Street just after 11.30am on Tuesday.

He suffered critical injuries and was taken to Waikato Hospital, police say.

He died in hospital today.

The incident is under investigation.
