Two people located after being swept off rocks on Otago Peninsula

Two people have been found after being swept off rocks on the Otago Peninsula today.

A St John spokesperson told 1 NEWS they were alerted to the incident just before 5pm, and three helicopters were sent to Cape Saunders –  two from Auckland.

Police say both people have been located, and one person is in a serious condition.

They confirmed one person was transported to Dunedin Hospital.

The condition of the other person is not yet confirmed.
