Man dies after hunting incident in Wairoa

A 21-year-old man injured in a hunting incident at Nuhaka, near Wairoa, on Sunday has died.

Troy Ormond, of Wairoa, was flown to hospital after the incident but later died.

Police earlier said they were called to a rural property at about 2.45pm on Sunday to assist ambulance staff.

"Police extend their sympathies to Mr Ormond’s family and friends at this difficult time."
