Fijian police are investigating the theft of items belonging to members of Russia's men's sevens team while the team was in Nadi.
World Rugby Hall of Famer and former Fijian international Waisale Serevi coaches the Russian team and his daughter took to social media to address the "disrespectful" actions.
"Fiji is known for the most friendliest people in the world but it takes 'holes like you to make everyone look bad," Asinate Serevi said.
"Dad has done so much for Fiji and yet some of y'all still look down on him and disrespect him for no reason - but this is on some different level.
"Russia, like the Fiji boys, have always been family to us so stealing clothes, cleats, runners and speakers from these Russian boys who have worked so hard to prepare fore the qualifiers in Hong Kong... you're high if you think you won't get caught."
The theft took place at Nadi International Airport after the side had competed at the Marist 7s tournament last month.
The Russian Rugby Union has since responded to apologies and messages of support sent from Fijian rugby fans about the incident.
"We want you to know this is not the memory we will take from your country or your people," the union wrote on social media.
"You welcomed us and treated us like Family from the start and because of you, we leave with more than we arrived. Vinaka Fiji."
Russia will play in the sevens series qualifier starting tomorrow with their first match against Uruguay.
