Black Ferns Sevens dismantle US side to reach final of Sydney Sevens

The Black Ferns Sevens have breezed into the final of the Sydney Sevens with a 29-5 win over the US this morning.

Michaela Blyde opening the scoring, finishing off a long passage of play after being put in the clear by Niall Williams.

The Kiwi Ferns Sevens looked sharp with Ruby Tui, Gayle Broughton, Shakira Baker, and Kat Whata-Simpkins also crossing in the five-tries-to-one demolition.

The US women’s side scored a late consolation try through Lauren Doyle.

The Black Ferns Sevens will face Australia in the final tonight after the hosts beat Ireland 24-12.
