When they're at their best, the Black Caps can beat anyone.

That's the confident statement made by Kiwi pace bowler Trent Boult after last night's dominant ODI win over India in Hamilton.

After losing the first three matches in the five-game series, the New Zealand side was playing for nothing but pride, but they made sure to show it, skittling India for 92 in just over 30 overs at Seddon Park.

The best of the Kiwi bowlers was Boult, who took superb figures of 5-21 in the eight-wicket win.

"It was nice to see the ball moving around and get a couple of wickets," Boult said.

Boult said the team were looking to show their skills in the match after starting the series 0-3.

"We haven't been where we wanted to be over the last couple of days and it's obviously a bit frustrating and a bit disappointing to start the series the way we did.

"But we know we've got the skills in the tank and we've got the plans that are set and they're good enough for anyone on their day so it was pretty satisfying."

The Black Caps have one last ODI to show said skills against India when the two sides meet on Sunday at Westpac Stadium in Wellington before the two sides turn their attention to a three-match T20 series.
