Slip cleared on State Highway 2 in Bay of Plenty

A land slip that blocked both lanes of State Highway 2 near Opotiki in the Bay of Plenty has been cleared.

The road between Parkinson Rd and Pohutukawa Drive has re-opened but motorist can expect delays, police say.

Traffic was being diverted along Paerata Ridge Rd and Verrall Rd.

Motorists should allow extra time if travelling along this route.
