A second incident saw further delays to Auckland rail services today.
Auckland Transport released a statement on the AT Mobile app saying a trespasser at Waitematā had caused delays and cancellations.
The message was removed shortly after 3pm.
Auckland Councillor Richard Hills said passengers shouldn't be concerned.
"The AT app says a trespasser, I assume on the tracks caused the issue but it’s been resolved and trains returning to normal," he said.
A false fire alarm at Karanga-a-Hape train station had closed stations on Auckland’s City Rail Link early this morning, throwing the city’s train network off schedule for a period.
The morning's headlines in 90 seconds, including a cyclone hits the Cook Islands, and the FlyDubai pilot speaks about being attacked. (Source: Breakfast)
