Watch: US pilot has lucky escape after plane loses power and crashes into the water at Miami Beach

A pilot from South Florida will have the most exciting story to tell at his family's Christmas lunch.

He was flying his plane when it lost power and ditched in the bay at Miami Beach yesterday.

The crash was no worries for him though, he apparently climbed out and swam to a nearby boat to be rescued.

The pilot escaped with out any injuries.
