A Kiwi truck driver has made an emotional plea to motorists to stay safe, after getting caught up in the aftermath a fatal crash in Waikato.
AJ Quinn posted a video to Facebook from the scene of a crash on State Highway 29, near Karapiro yesterday morning, where one woman died.
"We're five days out from Christmas, and some family's going to get a s**t call this morning," he says in the video.
Mr Quinn also calls on motorists to "slow down" during the straight-talking and emotional plea.

He says "there are two dead people behind me" in the video, although police later confirmed a 24-year-old Tauranga woman was the only fatality in the crash.
It seems his message is getting through, with nearly 500,000 people viewing the video since it was posted yesterday.
This year's provisional road toll is at 366, 56 more than the same time last year.
