By her own admission our Prime Minister is a sentimental Christmas tragic, so it's not surprising the process of unwrapping her NZ Secret Santa parcel was a giddy affair filled with plenty of ceremony.
The two minute video clip posted to Jacinda Ardern's Twitter page today offers a running commentary from the Prime Minister on all her annoying habits, and postage preferences, when receiving a gift.
The NZ Post Twitter Secret Santa event pooled together thousands of anonymous Kiwis on social media to exchange anonymous gifts, and Ms Ardern was one of them.
Turning over the present, the PM assured: "You know what I reckon it is, I reckon it's a sleep mask.
"I haven't opened it so there's no pre-prepared face of shock or anything that you're about to see, it will all be quite genuine.
"I'm terrible all my family and friends know I'm one of those people who pick up presents and spend about five minutes feeling and predicting what it is, which drives my family bananas."
