Former Prime Minister Sir John Key made an appearance back in Parliament's debating chamber this afternoon when he popped in to see how his old colleagues were doing.
Parliament's TV camera caught Sir John sitting on a bench at the front of the House near the Speaker.
A smiling Sir John leaned forward to speak to former colleague, National MP Chris Finlayson, as a clerk read out reports to the House, and Speaker Trevor Mallard opened question time.
Sir John resigned as Prime Minister a year ago and left Parliament in March this year.
