Taika Waititi has told film website Fandango that he has plans to create a television version of successful kiwi comedy What We Do In The Shadows for an American audience.

The movie is a mockumentary styled film that follows the lives of three vampires who live together in today's modern world.

There is no word as to what the TV show is expected to be like but he says it will be set in America.

This is in addition to the new TVNZ spin off called Paranormal Unit which he is currently working on with Jermaine Clement.

Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok has won the director international acclaim and is set to bring in over $US700 million at the box-office.
