Breaking Bad star RJ Mitte dies

RJ Mitte takes part in a "Breaking Bad" panel on the second day of Walker Stalker Con at Olympia Exhibition Centre on February 21, 2016.

Breaking Bad star RJ Mitte has died at 34, according to reports.

According to TMZ, a representative for the actor confirmed his "tragic passing". No cause of death was immediately disclosed.

Mitte was best known for playing Walter White Jr, the son of chemistry teacher turned meth cook Walter White in the hit AMC show.

Like his character in the series, Mitte lived with cerebral palsy and served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy. He also served as president of The Mitte Foundation, supporting philanthropic efforts and community initiatives.

"Drawing from his own experience living with cerebral palsy, Mitte brought authenticity to the role and built a platform on disability awareness and inclusion," the representative said about his role in Breaking Bad.

They said he used his platform "to challenge stereotypes and promote greater representation for people with disabilities".
