It's not just the public waiting for a decision by Winston Peters, MPs are also holding out for an answer.
Until then, it's almost business as usual for MPs in limbo like National's Chris Bishop and Labour's Kris Faafoi, who are meeting with constituents in their electorates.
But it's also a time to work on their waistline, after they revealed on TVNZ1's Breakfast they each put on about eight kilograms over the election campaign period.
"Our focus over the next few weeks is getting our fitness regimes back," Mr Bishop said.
"Both our votes went up, along with our waistlines."
