Waikato Police have taken to Facebook to post their successful cannabis bust yesterday, with cops posing with the plants described as "small Christmas trees".
A series of photos were posted on social media showed police cramming the trees inside the back of a police ute, with branches overflowing out of the windows.
About 60 mature cannabis plants were seized.
Waikato District Police said over the last couple of weeks throughout the Eastern Waikato, police have arrested "many drug and dishonestly offenders, mostly for methamphetamine".
During their operation, they also seized a number of illegal firearms.
On the post, the police say "the work doesn't stop there", posing a question to the public, asking "could you be next?"
