Three King Cobra members have been arrested after nine guns, drugs, and cash were seized during a raid in Christchurch on Monday.
Police said the Northcote search was part of an investigation into the sale of cannabis.
Nine guns, including pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns and a suppressed, scoped semi-automatic rifle, were found.
More than a kilogram of cannabis and $15,000 in cash were seized.
Two 20-year-olds and a 22-year-old from Kaiapoi and Northcote – members of the King Cobra gang – were charged with possession for supply, unlawful possession of a firearm and driving while disqualified.
They will reappear in the Christchurch District Court on October 1, 15 and 23. Two have been remanded in custody.
"This was a strong example of information obtained through a local investigation progressing into a targeted gang-disruption operation, resulting in the removal of firearms, drugs and suspected criminal proceeds from the community," tactical operations manager Inspector Craig Scott said.
"Firearms and drugs cause significant harm, and this shows when the community and Police collaborate, we can make our communities safer together."
