'Delay travel' after motorcycle crash on Waikato highway

Motorists are being urged to "delay travel" after a motorcycle crash blocked lanes on State Highway 1 near Horsham Downs this afternoon.

A police spokesperson said the incident was reported around 12.15pm.

"One person is injured and emergency services are on scene," the spokesperson said.

Motorists were advised to delay travel.

New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said the northbound lanes after Lake Rd were blocked.

St John has been contacted for comment.

Earlier today, emergency services attended a serious single-vehicle crash near Whangamarino which briefly blocked all northbound lanes.

It has since reopened between the Rodda Rd on-ramp and the Hampton Downs off-ramp.
