Bodycam footage has captured the moment a man allegedly fired a homemade flamethrower at US officers as they attempted to serve an eviction order in Oklahoma.
Deputies from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office were attempting to enter an apartment in Oklahoma City earlier this month when they found the door barricaded.
After police managed to get inside, authorities said 61-year-old Darron Dunn pointed a homemade flamethrower towards one of the deputies.
Footage released by the sheriff's office showed flames erupting through the doorway as deputies entered the apartment.
The sheriff's office said flames travelled around 4.5 metres towards the deputy.
Authorities said Dunn also had what appeared to be an "improvised explosive device hooked up to a car battery" inside the apartment, prompting the tactical team and bomb squad to respond.
Dunn was taken into custody and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, possession of an incendiary device or explosives and obstructing an officer.
No one was injured in the incident.
