Laneway Festival will close its 2027 tour at Auckland's Western Springs on February 21, shifting the New Zealand date clear of a long weekend and handing the country the finale for the first time.
The Auckland show lands a fortnight after Waitangi Day, which falls on February 6 in 2027, and pushes the festival into the tail end of the summer calendar rather than the long-weekend slot Kiwi audiences have come to expect.
It will run across the Western Springs Bowl and Western Springs Park, with organisers pointing to the venue's recent refurbishment.
This year's Laneway Festival was headlined by US popstar Chappell Roan, with appearances from UK songstress Pinkpantheress and homegrown talent like BENEE.
The full lineup will not be announced until late September.
A spokesperson described it as "a mix of the most exciting new and established artists from around the globe".
Laneway has historically been held on an Auckland long weekend, until the 2025 and 2026 edition moved to Waitangi weekend.
The 2025 Laneway Festival made a late call to cancel entry to under-18s, despite already selling tickets to thousands of concertgoers aged 16 and 17.
